The standard Ferrari 348 uses 2 ECUs to control the engine, running the two banks
of the V8 almost totally separately as far as the electronics are concerned.
Andy Hills wanted to modify his engine and so the first thing that needed addressing was the electronics. Andy chose to replace the standard two ECUs with one Omex 710 ECU. Just a single 710 ECU was enough to run this engine. An adaptor harness was designed to allow the Omex 710 to be connected to the standard wiring.
Andy fitted Jenvey SF throttle bodies onto a bespoke inlet manifold, and incase that didn't free up enough power from the Ferrari V8, he also added nitrous! All of this work has resulted in an engine that produces over 500bhp.
